Welcome to the home of the Seaforth Band Association (SBA)! We are an all volunteer organization dedicated to supporting Seaforth High School’s band programs.
We are just getting started. We are trying to get everything up and running as soon as possible. We are definitely in a building the airplane while trying to fly it mentality! We will be adding the following as soon as possible:

Mr. Gilbert has put together an information sheet about game days. Most of this information will apply throughout the season.
Uniforms have not come in yet, but everyone should have their free shirts for Thursday.
Our next fundraiser is fast approaching. Next Wednesday, August 11th, Jersey Mikes in Cole Park Plaza has agreed to give us 50% of sales for the day. This is a huge opportunity for us to make a significant amount of money. We are looking for volunteers to stand outside of Jersey Mikes and remind people as they enter that for no cost to customers they can support the band just by mentioning the fundraiser.
We officially have our band T-shirts up and ready for sale. This is a great way for your students to be able to show their student pride and build a sense of community. Additionally, marching uniforms will not be in by the first game and this is a good way to look uniform on the field. The hoodies and long sleeve shirts make excellent Holiday and Birthday gifts as well as allow students to show pride in the winter time!

Opt-Out of photographs
For those who DO NOT want their child photographed the form can be accessed here. We ask that anyone who wishes to not have their child photographed to return this form by Friday, August 6th.
Volunteering is an important part of making the band successful whether it is helping on games days, helping Mr. Gilbert with tasks, and/or helping out with fundraisers. We can’t do it without the support of the parents. First step is to be approved by the county as a volunteer if you expect to have contact with the students or be in the building. You can find the application with Chatham County Schools here:

Rehearsal and game schedule
Lastly, as Mr. Gilbert talked about at the parent meeting there will be requirements for after school time for rehearsals and practice. Mondays and Tuesdays students will be required to stay until 5PM. This is to bring the whole band together to rehearse for games as students won’t all be in the same class throughout the day together. Game days, which are Thursdays (we only have JV teams), students will be required to stay throughout the afternoon until the game starts. Our FIRST GAME actually happens before school starts on THURSDAY, AUGUST 19 at 6:30. Mr. Gilbert will send out more information on arrival time for students. We only play at home games. Concerns with this should be addressed directly to Mr. Gilbert.
We really appreciate all of the work you do as parents to help your students make this a successful and fun year for them. Without you we just can’t do it alone!
